Equities listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) swung left and right Thursday and ended with a marginal drop of 0.04 per cent as investors recorded slight losses.

The All-Share Index which opened at 33,355.54 depreciated by 13.52 basis points, recording a marginal loss of 0.04 per cent to close at 33,342.02 points.

Also, the market capitalization dropped by N4 billion to close at N10.667 trillion as against N10.671 trillion recorded on Wednesday.

Unilever led the losers’ chart, dropping by N5 to close at N47 per share.

UACN depreciated by N2.48 to close at N50.52 per share, while Cadbury lost N2.03 to close at N38.57 per share.

PZ Cussons dipped by N1.60 to close at N40.25, while Nigerian Breweries fell by N1 to close at N162 per share.

Dangote Cement led the gainers’ chart with N7 to close at N147 per share.

Okomu Oil followed with N2.93 to close at N61.63 per share, while Glaxo SmithKline grew by N2.49 to close at N52.47 per share.

NewGold appreciated by N2 to close at N2,520 per unit, while Northern Nigeria Flour Mill (NNFM) rose by 96k to close at N20.25 per share.

It was gathered that investors on Thursday exchanged a total of 706.98 million shares worth N3.9 billion in 7,570 deals, as against 1.4 billion shares valued at N5.6 billion traded in 9,664 deals on Wednesday.
