Etisalat Supports Computer Village Carnival
Etisalat has announced its partnership with organizers of the annual Computer Village Fair and Carnival. The series of events which is billed to kick off this weekend at the Computer Village Ikeja is a five-day programme that serves to showcase the market and its products to the world. It will feature several activities like seminars, exhibition of electronic devices and equipment, a carnival and a special day dedicated to Etisalat Nigeria as the Telecom Sponsor of the fair.
Speaking on the development, Lucas Dada, Director, Business Segment at Etisalat Nigeria said the company was delighted to be a part of such a programme that showcases the best technological devices in the world.
According to him, the Ikeja Computer Village is the biggest market in West Africa, famous for information and communication technology devices.
“The market enjoys the patronage of thousands of people from across Nigeria and other parts of Africa daily, which makes it a good point for us to connect with customers and prospects. Our team will be on ground to resolve customer issues and meet the demands of prospects as a way of enriching the fair,” he said.
According to the Chairman of Ogunbiyi Community Development Area, Lagos, where the Computer Village is located, this year’s edition of the fair is packaged to meet international standards. “Preparations have been made to ensure that we deliver a world class event this year and with the support of Etisalat I can guarantee that the carnival will attract international recognition which will in turn draw business opportunities to the Computer Village,” he said.
Highlight of the Etisalat Day, on Saturday December 21, was a performance by Nigeria’s King of Rap, Olamide to the delight of shoppers, guests and traders. Other activities built into the carnival include courtesy call on the Oba of Lagos, raffle draws and colorful street carnival to round up the weeklong event.
