Wael Ammar, chief commercial officer, Etisalat Nigeria has extolled customers’ for choosing Etisalat despite its late entry into the market and for remaining loyal to the network.
Ammar spoke at a customer forum, as part of its commitment to deliver world class telecommunication services to its growing subscribers.
He stated that the customers are the sole reason the network continues to grow in the Nigerian market and that their satisfaction is key to the success of the network. According to him, “As customers, you play a vital role in the fast expansive growth of our business and remain the sole reason we continue in business, and for this reason we will constantly solicit feedback from you in order to continue to meet and exceed your expectations,” he assured the customers.
Ammar said “The customer is at the heart of everything we do. All our continued product innovations, our rapid roll-out, qualitative service delivery, our 24-7 call centres, manned by highly trained and capable staff, are all aimed at delighting our customers. Our desire to take our customer experience from a state of contentment to one of delight, led us to recently re-launch our easy starter product with the introduction of You & Me and Bonus-on-incoming calls. Fora like this provide us with firsthand feedback from our valued customers to enable us serve them better”.
Responding on behalf of the customers, Mr. Emmanuel Nbanara a businessman who lives in Gbagada commended Etisalat for empowering customers to achieve their business goals. “As a businessman, my phone is my most important business tool and the fact that etisalat has bonus on incoming calls means I get plenty of free minutes from all calls received  from other networks, and that makes me use the line more and more.”
Alhaja Taiwo Sekinat Baruwa, another customer, who is a trader by profession, stated that she heard about the network from her travels to Dubai for business and used etisalat as her local number in the UAE. When the innovative network started operations in Nigeria she got her number via the 0809Uchoose platform and introduced Etisalat to her family and has enjoyed services like missed call notification and balance transfers. "When Etisalat started in Nigeria I got the chance to pick my number and have been using that number since. Because sometimes I may not be around to answer my phone, I am always happy when I get the text notifying me of the numbers that have tried to phone me. It helps me stay in touch with my customers and my business. The feature that helps you transfer credit has also been very good for me as a mother". She further commended the network on the fast expansion as she can use her phone when travelling by road to neighboring states.
The forum gave Etisalat customers the opportunity to interact with members of the Etisalat family, thus creating an avenue for direct customer feedback on several points about the services of the network.  Wael Ammar stated that this was the first of many such fora to come.
The forum, which had in attendance Etisalat’s subscribers from all walks of life, provided an opportunity for feedback to the innovative network. It also served as an avenue for the company to reiterate its commitment to providing superior service to its customers using innovation and customer service as bedrock.
