eTranzact has introduced yet another innovative solution designed to make easy payments online and on mobile directly from a Bank account.

According to the solution providers, the application called BankIT will make will eliminate the stress of remembering a card number or PIN during the transactions.

Bunmi Wellington-Ogunlewe, head of Products at eTranzact, said that the product is designed with the future elimination of paper, cash and card transactions. “Ten of our partner-banks in Nigeria are currently integrated on the BankIT platform, and it is accessible through multiple channels: Web, Mobile and USSD.

“BankIT TM was birthed by a desire to build a payments product that everyone would truly love and easily use; whether as a Bank, a trader in Alaba setting up a website, a web hosting company selling to domain registrants, a payments gateway already deployed on merchant websites, an ecommerce website or as a direct consumer.

“BankIT TM was launched by eTranzact quietly last year, enabling airtime purchase directly from bank account on USSD, *444# and *805# on Airtel, Glo and Etisalat respectively, with over 500,000 customers using it to date,” Wellington-Ogunlewe said.

He added that the goal for the CEO, a champion of innovation and eTranzact International PLC with BankIT TM, is to eliminate the need to use cards, hardware tokens or visit any bank branches by securely integrating with Banks and allowing customers access their Bank accounts via USSD or BankIT- powered platforms”.
