FireEye Calls for Intel to Ward off Attackers
FireEye has called on individuals and organizations to gain insight and actionable intelligence to enable rapid detection and response against advanced threats.
The Company warned that there are no air raid sirens for cyber attacks as advanced attackers operate undetected in organizations’ networks on average 229 days.
“Even more alarming, organizations only discover the breach themselves 33% of the time,” the Company stated in their website.
FireEye, Inc. is notable globally as a network security company that provides automated threat forensics and dynamic malware protection against advanced cyber threats, such as advanced persistent threats and spear phishing
“It’s not for lack of investment. Security teams are buried in alerts. They just can’t always see the signal through the noise. When advanced attackers are discovered, security teams often lack the investigative expertise, adversary intelligence and capabilities to formulate an effective response,” the statement reads.
Thus, FireEye is organizing an Incident Detection & Response Summit where leading experts and practitioners will discuss topic like how advanced attackers exploit the security gap; best practices for detecting and responding to advanced threats; approaches for finding and prioritizing the alerts that matter and incident response techniques for combating advanced attackers.
Mark Weatherford, principal at the chertof Group will be the lead presenter at the 55minutes Insight holding on June 10, 2014.
