FRCN Calabar Ready for Commissioning Soon

Federal Government of Nigeria and Cross Rivers State Government have stepped arrangements for the commissioning of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Calabar, in the next quarter of this year.

Mr. John Odey, minister of Information and Communications, disclosed this when Mr. Efiok Cobham Deputy Governor of Cross River State, and his wife paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

Mr. Mike Nwoko, minister’s chief press secretary quoted Odey as saying that the director-general of FRCN and some of its officials visited the state governor, Senator Liyel Imoke, recently and held far-reaching discussions, especially on infrastructural development that would bring about positive and fruitful outcome towards the realisation of the desired goals of the radio station.

Odey also assured the deputy governor of federal government’s continued cooperation and support to the development of the State, especially in the area of tourism.

He stated that Tinapa was one of the projects desirous by Mr. President to come to fruition, which is why everything was being done to ensure that the project comes up very soon.
