Gilat Satcom to Unveil New Services, Broadband Technologies
Gilat Satcom has announced details of its upcoming partners’ event “new fiber and satellite solutions and Global communication innovation” taking place on Thursday 27 in Lagos.
At the event, Gilat Satcom will unveil a raft of new services and technologies specifically tailored to enable its partners in Nigeria to differentiate themselves from competitors, improve broadband connectivity and reduce costs.
Topics which will be debated and discussed include new and upcoming solutions, fleet management, opportunities with the Iriduim satellite constellation, video and live channels over IP, improve network efficiency, best practices for customer service and support and engineering challenges.
The event will be attended by integrators, distributors, ISPs, operators and enterprises from across the country.
Mr. Rio Valdir Filstein, general Manager Gilat Satcom Nigeria, said, “Nigeria’s growing demand for high quality global communication services is yet to be met. Gilat Satcom’s African headquarters is in Lagos with offices in Abuja and Port Harcourt. In addition Gilat Satcom has a number of joint ventures across Africa including Microlink in Zambia and Raga in the DRC.
As well as a pan-Africa satellite footprint, Gilat Satcom also has an extensive fiber network. It is amongst the first companies in Africa to offer both East to West coast and international connectivity.
Its MPLS network connects to both the WACS and EASSy undersea cables via fiber local loops across Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania and Zambia,
