National telecoms operator, Globacom, has extended the hugely successful Glo “text 4 millions” super promo and raised the prize money to be won during the extension period to N2m daily for one lucky subscriber.

The promo which began in July has created over 100 millionaires from a pool of ordinary Nigerians cutting across all socio economic groups such as drivers, traders, lawyers, brick-layers, carpenters, commercial motorcycle riders, civil servants, doctors, businessmen and women, retirees, students and the unemployed.

According to Samson Isa, Globacom’s head, Value Added Services, the success and acceptability of the promo has been so high among subscribers that a decision had to be taken to extend the promo in response to subscribers demand and to enable more winners emerge and be rewarded.

“It is our wish to extend the gains of the promo to more subscribers, hence the decision to extend till the end of October so that more millionaires can emerge.

“During this extension period, Glo will be giving out N2million every day to one lucky subscriber.

“The millionaires that emerge during this extension period will be presented with their prizes at a grand finale Laffta Fest event which will hold in Lagos in November”, he explained.

Apart from creating a large number of millionaires, the Glo “text 4 millions” promo has also created multi millionaires including two winners of the monthly jumbo prize of N10m, Izuchukwu Onyimba, a provision seller in Badagry and Rev. Alex Iduh of the Church of God Mission in Benin-City.

Cities where the Laffta Fest shows were held and winners presented with their prizes include Lagos, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Jos, Ibadan, Owerri, Abuja, Calabar, Benin, and Kaduna.
