As Etisalat Nigeria takes on new identity, a report by Google has revealed the key search patterns Nigerians have tried to identify with the new brand name- 9Mobile.
Emerging Markets Telecommunication Services Limited (EMTS) announced on Tuesday that Etisalat will now trade as 9Mobile.
People searched ‘9mobile nigeria’, ‘etisalat 9mobile’, ‘etisalat nigeria’, and ‘9mobile telecom’.
“EMTS, which previously traded as ‘Etisalat Nigeria’, wishes to inform its over 20 million subscribers, government, regulatory agencies and all relevant stakeholder groups that the telecommunication company has changed its name to 9Mobile as a further testament of our unwavering commitment to ensuring business continuity as Nigeria’s fourth largest telecom operator,” the company announced in a statement.
In other search trends this week, other trending searches on Google Nigeria this week included Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar; death hoax of singer and evangelist Don Moen; the new season of Game of Thrones; Roger Federer; and Beyoncé’s twin babies.
