Google Search Trends 1Q16 Shows Internet Boosts Individuals', Industries' Relevance

Aside Nigerians leaving more footprints as they chat, search (browse), download or upload ‎via the Internet, Google Nigeria has also disclosed that certain individual, and industries are drawing oxygen from the web.

Speaking during #GSearch‎NG (Google Hangout) on Friday, Mr. TaiwoTaiwo Kola-Ogunlade, Communications & PR Manager, (Google) West Africa‎, said that during the time under review, January to March 2016, certain individuals were thrown to the limelight as others searched for them via the Internet.

For instance, ‎Olajumoke Orisaguna (the breadseller turned model) topped the trending People on Google followed by David Bowie; Adekunle Gold; Arakangundu; Dede One day; Mark Angel Comedy; Alan Rickman; Ibinabo Fiberesima; Natalie Cole and Falz.‎

Top Trending Events on Google are Headies; AMVCA 2016; Lagos Marathon; Grammy 2016; Ooni of Ife wedding and Olubadan of Ibadan.
