GTBank to Mark 2010 Customer Service Week

Guaranty Trust Bank Plc is set to celebrate 20 years of superior service delivery with its numerous customers all over the world from October 4th – 8th, 2010, as service oriented organizations around the world prepare to mark this year’s Customer Service Week
Tayo Aderinokun, managing director, GTBank while speaking on the 2010 Customer Service Week themed, ‘SERVICE since 1990’said exceptional service delivery remains a core foundation of the bank’s brand and the 2010 Customer Service week, which is coming at a time when the bank celebrates its 20th Anniversary, is another opportunity to reemphasize and recognize the efforts and contributions of the bank’s numerous customers over the years.
He also enjoined all customers and non-customers alike to sign on to the bank’s website and online social community sites to participate in ongoing discussions on how to improve service delivery within Guaranty Trust Bank
The Customer Service Week is an international event devoted to recognizing the importance of customer service and honoring the people who have contributed immensely towards service revolution. It is celebrated annually worldwide during the first full week of October.
Some of the activities earmarked for the week include Guest Tellering – an exercise where top executives of the bank serve as tellers in various branches. This initiative was first introduced in 1991 when the bank commenced operations as a mandatory responsibility for all staff irrespective of position and over the years, it has become a recurring activity.
Established in 1990, Guaranty Trust Bank plc has grown organically over the years to become one of Africa’s foremost financial institutions operating from over 180 business locations in Nigeria, Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and the United Kingdom.  The bank was recently adjudged the ‘Best Bank in Nigeria 2010’ at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence.
