GTS-Infotel enhances Unified Communications system with special numbering solution

GTS-Infotel, one of the leading licensed value added service (VAS) providers in the country has developed a special numbering service solution aimed at providing organizations with a unified communication system.

Hyacinth Anucha, head business relations, GTS-Infotel speaking on the sidelines of 2019 VAS stakeholder’s forum in Lagos, said that the solution will enable organizations streamline their communication system.

He explained that with this unique numbering system organizations do not need to have multiplicity of numbers that will serve different purposes, noting that GTS unique mobile numbering system will harmonize all communications into one.

According to him, “Our solution is quite unique and a little different from what is existing, what we have is a solution that is based on special numbering that will provide mobile numbering system to organizations, which will uniquely identify them.

“We are providing mobile assess with a number, so that organizations can have their presence via mobile.

“What you find is that organizations have several numbers that serve different purposes ranging from using multiple mobile and fixed numbers for voice conversation and short codes for SMS/USSD transactional services.

“But now organizations can use a single GTS number for all their communications services, in terms of internal and external communications, multichannel customer services and mobile marketing.”

Anucha said that with the GTS unique mobile numbering system customers can easily remember and identify these organizations, without being laden with the burdening of cramming numbers.

“Organizations can now do a lot of services using these unique numbering services and once their customers receive any transactional or other services, they will know that it is authentic and that it’s from the organization”.

He noted further that the services are safe and protected that nobody can copy and use it for fraudulent activities.

He added that customers have opportunity to opt out from the service whenever any organization is providing promotional or other services they do not like, by texting stop.

Anucha said “If you as a customer do not want the services, you can simply opt out by texting stop, once you text stop it will come to us that is providing the service and we will block the organization from sending that particular message to you.

“Immediately you text stop through sms, the message will come to us the provider of the numbering service and we will unsubscribe you from receiving the unsolicited messages”.

He also revealed that their aim at GTS-Infotel is to become the pioneer organization that championed this unified communication system in Nigeria.
