Heineken Celebrates Africanism At 2018 Backyard Fashion Show
The weekend could not have gotten any better as guests gathered in their numbers to attend the much anticipated Backyard Fashion Show in Lagos.
First of its kind, the fashion & lifestyle event which was held on Sunday 2nd of December at the Backyard Bar and Grill, Victoria Island, Lagos witnessed amazing teams of fashion designers, make-up artists, photographer & models showcase the very best of African fashion.
Proudly supported by international premium beer brand, Heineken, the event featured 360 degree cameras capturing attendees in their glamorous ensembles, with green carpet host Paul on hand to interview the A-list guests.
The live afro-jazz band opened the show to the delight of those present with a spectacular performance. The Fashion show also featured designer labels, such as Johnny Lingo, Doo by Iyanu, Ina and Denike who showcased their exquisite pieces on the runway.
Olaoluwa Babalola,Brand Manager Heineken, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Speaking at the event, said, “The maiden edition of the Backyard Fashion show is one of a kind.
“It was put together to promote creative and talented underground fashion brands in Nigeria.

“The brand continues to provide experiences that will shape the future of fashion in Africa.”
The show which was themed “Africanism” had attendees show up in an array of afro-centric attires thereby showcasing exquisite and creative pieces depicting African heritage and culture through fashion.
The theme intends to show reflective contemporary African styles and versatility that tell a story of our heritage and the African pride.
Hosted by Louisa Olaniyi, the show had notable faces including Tobi Bakre, Timini, Akin Faminu, amongst others.
