Huawei Stages 1st Mobile Phone Photography Exhibition with Huawei P8 Smartphone
The Lagos Photo Festival organized by African Artists Foundation, is the first and only international photography festival in Nigeria.
The Photo Festival event is a month long festival which kicks off with the opening ceremony include exhibitions, workshops, artist presentations, discussions and large scale outdoor prints displayed throughout the city with the aim of reclaiming public spaces and engaging the general public with multifaceted stories of Africa.
This year’s edition also features the first Mobile Phone Photography Exhibition with the award-winning celebrity photographer Kelechi Amadi-Obi showcasing his work done entirely with the Huawei P8 smartphone. Kelechi had earlier in the year demonstrated his unrivalled technical ability using the light painting feature exclusive to the Huawei P8.
The P8 is further testimony to Huawei’s dedication to bringing the latest technology to consumers, offering a world of opportunities, creating extraordinary experiences and realizing dreams for people everywhere.
This is achieved through the R&D centers established around the world in countries such as the United States, Germany, Sweden, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Russia, India, and China. Huawei has more than 7,000 R&D employees focused on consumer products and solutions, comprising more than 50% of Huawei Consumer BG’s total workforce.
The Huawei stand at the festival will give visitors the chance to have firsthand interaction with Huawei’s mobile technology, perfectly embodied by the current flagship phone, the Huawei P8.
Interestingly, LagosPhoto, the parent organization for the festival, has set one of its main objectives for this year’s event, as educating visitors about photography. The festival is therefore a natural habitat for the famed Huawei P8, which will be the star attraction at the Huawei stand.
Also, the festival seeks to use photography for the exploration of historical and contemporary issues, the sharing of cultural practices, and the promotion of social programmes. In truth, mobile photography, especially at the quality of the Huawei P8 will play an increasingly significant role in the archiving of history and contemporary culture.
Discussing with guests at the event, Mr. Olaonipekun Okunowo, senior marketing manager, Consumer Business Group, Huawei Nigeria, explained that The Huawei P8 takes beauty to the next level, striking a flawless balance of artistry and creativity.
Its is a 5.2 inch screen 6.4mm thin with Nano dual SIM cards, and works seamlessly with a 4G network with unique power management creates a bridge between the Huawei P8’s slim design, power efficiently and stunning performance.
The device contains a 2680mAh battery and with Kirin 930 Octa-Core 64-bit chipset, delivering outstanding performance that outpaces the smartphone market by 20 percent.
Huawei P8 introduces a new philosophy for camera design leveraging a combination of hardware, software and proprietary algorithms to help users capture beautiful photographs, even in the worst lighting conditions.
