The Nigerian chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), has held its fourth Chief Executive Officers (CEO) breakfast forum in Lagos with the theme ‘Reputation and the Sales Function’.
The event which took place at Four Point by Sheraton, VI, Lagos, provided an engagement platform for communication professionals and business leaders to interact and share ideas for enhanced leadership communication and stakeholder engagement.
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is a not-for-profit association that provides the content, credibility and community to help communication professionals succeed in their careers.
Established in 1970, IABC provides knowledge products, education, certification, research and a 13,000-member global network in 70-plus countries.
The Association is the premier knowledge network for professionals engaged in strategic communication management.
IABC Nigeria is the Nigerian chapter that provides a platform for connection, community and diverse content for professionals in all areas of the communication discipline in Nigeria.
Previous IABC CEO Breakfast Sessions have featured Mr Segun Ogunsanya, Airtel Nigeria CEO on Leadership Communication as an Imperative for Building a Strong Corporate Culture and Mr. Rasheed Adegbenro, the then director general of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria on “Getting Heard: Challenges of business advocacy in Nigeria”.
Also, Mr Richard Ikiebe, a media scholar of repute, at the 3rd session spoke on “Globalisation and the imperative of ISO certification for communicators”, Dr Sean McCoy, a brand expert from South Africa, would tackle the topic, “Stand-out communication in the age of digital: an integrated approach.”
At the 4th Forum, Ajay Bakshi, director, Customer Services Delivery, Airtel Nigeria, presented a paper on ‘Managing Customer Service Impact on Reputation and Bottomline’ at the event.
