iConcepts Limited, the leading VAS and mobile marketing company in Nigeria, on Monday announced the tenth anniversary of its formation, and the launch of a new website in support of its growing worldwide presence.
iConcepts was founded in January 2004 by Ugo Okoye, the chief executive officer.
Okoye had advanced recognition that the licenses issued to GSM operators in 2001 would provide huge opportunities in the telecoms industry and would profoundly impact the marketing of brands.
He capitalized on this foresight by establishing iConcepts Limited in 2004 and began talking tobrands about using mobile to communicate with their customers.
“iConcepts is proud of its ten-year track record of technology growth and sustained profitability while delivering global mobile marketing solutions,” said Okoye. “At the same time, we are forward-focused on this next decade and have significant plans to deliver substantial additional value to our clients and innovation to the industry.”
iConcepts initially operated purely as a mobile messaging company providing a lot of bulk SMS services but has since expanded its offerings to include powerful mobile marketing services that help brands connect with their customers through mobile phone technologies such as mCode, mCare, SMS, MMS, Mobisite, Voice and WAP.
In celebration of embarking on its second decade of business, iConcepts has unveiled a new and updated company website (www.iconcepts.com.ng).
iConcepts will also be executing several corporate social responsibility projects and informational initiatives throughout this month in support of the tenth anniversary.
“iConcepts has undergone a tremendous transformation since we launched the industry’s first mobile consumer promotional campaign for Cocacola refresh & recharge promo in 2008,” said Okoye. “Today iConcepts’ mobile platforms are used for unique and diverse on-pack consumer promos in Nigeria, and as such we have updated the brand identity to reflect our mobile offerings and the next era of success for our company.”
iConcepts’ strength in mobile marketing and content provision has been recognized in numerous other awards this year, including being named Best Mobile Marketing Company in this year’s Nigerian Telecom Awards and the Marketing World Awards.
It was also recently nominated for SME Company of the year at the African SME champions’ award in Dakar, Senegal.
