ID Africa and Plaqad a marketing technology startup have announced they will be training over 50 Nigerian media professionals at the 2019 edition of Social4Media Masterclass.

The free digital skills training event is set to hold on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

The full-day workshop will feature 12 professionals and experts from the fields of marketing, media and tech.

The speakers and facilitators will share useful insights through case studies and provide practical tools that will help journalists, bloggers and storytellers to effectively leverage opportunities that digital media offers. It is believed that with improved digital skills and a deeper understanding of technology tools, more media professionals in Africa can successfully innovate and grow.

“A lot of our friends in the media; journalists and publishers are putting great effort in getting online and using social media, but many are still not achieving the desired results.

"Our mission with Social4Media is to provide insights, tools and techniques that will help them succeed and grow their businesses,” said Femi Falodun, CEO of ID Africa.

Gbenga Sogbaike, CEO of Plaqad also added: “Social4Media is designed to help reporters, bloggers, editors, PR execs and others who work in media to better understand the relevant social media platforms and tools, and how to use them better.

"We are doing this through case studies, panel discussions and presentations by experts who have successfully used digital media for business growth.”

Social4Media Masterclass, which is also supported by BlackHouse Media (BHM) first held in November 2017.

The maiden edition featured presentations by MI Abaga, Alibaba, Frank Donga, Osagie Alonge, Tomiwa Aladekomo, Yemi Adamolekun, Ayeni Adekunle and others.
