International Data Corporation (IDC) has published a new vendor assessment profiling providers that offer mobile application development, testing, management and infrastructure (mADTMI) services to enterprise-class firms.

The report found that Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, Hewlett Packard (HP), IBM, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Wipro are all Leaders in the mADTMI services market.

"The surge of mobility continues to engulf enterprise activities for application development, testing, management, and infrastructure. Many early adopters of mobile applications have achieved significant business benefits prompting a frenzy that has caused other organizations to mobile-enable their business applications in the hopes of enhancing employee productivity and customer service and reducing activity costs,” said Pete Marston, research manager, Application Development, Testing, and Management Services (ADTMS).

The vendors included in this IDC MarketScape analysis are Accenture, AT&T, Atos, Capgemini, Cognizant, HCL, Hewlett Packard (HP), IBM, Infosys, NTT Data, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Tech Mahindra, Unisys, and Wipro.

In addition to the vendors identified as Leaders, AT&T, Atos, Capgemini, NTT Data, Tech Mahindra and Unisys were named as Major Players.

The report, IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Mobile Application Services Vendor Assessment 2014, assesses the providers offering enterprise mADTMI services through the IDC MarketScape model.

The study reviews both quantitative and qualitative characteristics that define current market demands and expected buyer needs for mobile application development, testing, management, and infrastructure services.

It also highlights the key factors expected to be the most significant for achieving success in the mobile application services market over the short and long terms.
