IIM Announces Alliance with International Association of Privacy Professionals
As part of the Institute of Information Management (IIM) commitments towards ensuring global best practices, sharing lessons learned, and networking with other similar international organizations, the Institute recently announced a professional alliance with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), USA.
The alliance, Dr-Oyedokun Ayodeji Oyewole, chairman, Board of Directors at Institute of Information Management (IIM) – Africa, told Nigeria CommunicationsWeek, is expected to provide members of the Institute and other professionals, high standard and internationally-recognized learning, education and certification (Certified Information Privacy Professional – CIPP and Certified Information Privacy Manager – CIPM).
IAPP certification is the global standard for privacy and data protection professionals. Developed and launched by IAPP with leading privacy subject matter experts, the first broad-based global privacy and data protection credentialing program, which remains the most sought-after and acknowledged credential in the profession.
IAPP credential holders, earn the right to be recognized as part of an elite group of knowledgeable, capable and dedicated privacy professionals.
