Attendance at the March 2017 edition of CFA's Startups Hangout recorded a large number of young Startups who were happy to gain a lot of experiences from the two invited speakers, Nkem Begho, Founder and MD of Future Software Resources Limited and Atul Kshetry, managing director of IDM Nigeria.

Both speakers were able to highlight the areas of concern for the young entrepreneurs while proffering solutions to these concerns from their own personal experiences.

It is, however, interesting to note that the CFA's Startups Hangout is now attracting the attention of successful entrepreneurs and older ones, who deemed it fit to attend the March 2017 Hangout session, to find out what goes on there, first hand.

These successful entrepreneurs and personalities, aside from the two invited guest Speakers, include Inge Herbert, the German Consul General to Nigeria and Chris Uwaje, Director General, Delta State Innovation Hub.

They were impressed by the number Startups that showed up and the quality of the delivery by the speakers.

Although, Chris Uwaje and the German Consul, Inge Herbert were not billed to speak at the event, they were given the opportunity to give short speeches to encourage the young Startups that were in attendance.

For some Startups and entrepreneurs in attendance, the Hangout was an avenue for them to share experiences, meet other Startups and establish a relationship.

Jide Ayegbusi, the Founder of Edusko Africa, described the hangout as a great avenue to learn and rub minds with great minds.

“I have benefited from the program and this is not my first time of attending the event. I was here last month and it has been an avenue for me to meet people and learn”, he said.

The Edusko Africa boss stated that he would not have come back if the previous Hangout did not impact his knowledge.

In his words, Itaman Julius, Chief Operating Officer, Cystus Nigeria Limited, said the hangout is a mind blowing one, as there were several insightful things learnt from the speakers.

“This meeting is mind blowing and I am sure that there are lots to be taken home", Julius said.

He added that events like the hangout has the potentials of transforming businesses by tapping from the knowledge of successful entrepreneurs.

The 4th edition of the the CFA’s Startups Hangout will come up on the April 14, 2017. At that event, five startups will be given the opportunity to pitch their ideas.
