Internet Solutions Buoys SMEs with MWEB Acquisition

Internet Solutions (IS) said that Dimension Data (Pty) Ltd acquisition of MWEB Business, Optinet Service Division and the Optinet Network Division from MWEB Connect (Pty) Ltd, will offer SME market with greater choice and more competitive pricing.

IS expressed its delight with approval for the proposed transaction which took effect on January 2, 2015 at which time the network assets and bandwidth contracts of MWEB Connect were transferred to Internet Solutions, as well as the full operating business divisions and employees of MWEB Business and Optinet.

As outlined in the announcement on 22 September 2014, MWEB Connect (Pty Ltd) will retain its consumer ISP business.
