The abductors of Margaret, the wife of Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), have demanded a ransom of N100 million it was learnt.

Sources said that the demand was made shortly after the kidnap of Margaret on Thursday.

She was said to have been kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road.

The kidnappers, who got in touch with Emefiele, a top police officer in the Office of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, told The Eagle Online, vowed not to release their victim until the ransom is paid.

It was learnt that Idris has deployed the crack Intelligence Response Team under his office and other top detectives within the Force to rescue Margaret unhurt and without paying any ransom.
