Layer3, a leading network solutions and managed service provider, has announced its partnership with AirWatch, the global leader in enterprise-grade Mobile Device Management, Mobile Application Management and Mobile Content Management solutions.

As threats to the enterprise networks through mobile devices become more rampant, Layer3, through this partnership, will be re-enforcing  its capacity as a network security solutions provider to offer its customers a comprehensive range of services that will enable effective adoption of the bring your own device model.

It also allows Layer3 to focus on enabling mobile device management without disruption, and with comprehensive security in customer organizations.

AirWatch's solutions support all mobile device platforms including  Android, Apple iOS, Blackberry, Symbian, Windows Mobile and Windows hand-held devices.

According to the Channel Partner Account Manager for Sub-saharan Africa  "Selecting Layer3 as our reseller partner, enables us to extend our solutions to their growing clientele in Nigeria as well as the West African region.

Layer3 has a strong reputation for excellence in technology service delivery and there is great value to be derived by both companies as well as the numerous organizations seeking a solution to threats in the Enterprise Mobility domain."

Layer3's MDM services will be part of its cloud services and will cover readiness assessment, policy creation, policy management and 24×7 monitoring and management and will help customers effectively track, secure, monitor and manage mobile devices.

Commenting on the partnership, Robert Ebere, Layer3’s product manager said, "AirWatch's technology, coupled with our industry-leading network solutions expertise and complemented by our strong cross-platform technology support practice, gives us an end-to-end play in this fast-growing MDM space.
