Limelite Opens Recording Studio

It was an ecstatic night for super stars in the entertainment industry and the rejoicing guests on Easter Sunday as Limelite Records had its official launch and threw open her doors to established and upcoming acts to formally start the business of a record label, recording studio and a lounge in Lagos.

On hand to receive the guests were Kunle Abiola-Ige, CEO of the label and Nosa Omoregie, general manager who took them on a tour round the label’s premises and facilities.

Omoregie in his remarks explained that the label has signed two artistes and producers, built two brand new studios, open a Lime Lounge mostly for artistes who work in the studios to relax and a basketball court.

When introducing Le’mmon and Oshmann, the two artistes under the label to the guests and the media, Omoregie said they are ready to take their own spot in the Nigerian music space with their unique style.

Le’mmon is an R&B singer who sings from the heart in a unique way, he infuses various Nigerian language slangs into his songs. He is also a great performer on stage with his dance steps and the drama he brings on stage. He has two singles – Celebrate and Sweat and they are garnering massive airplay and downloads on radio and social media platforms.’’

When you talk of a Hip-Hop artiste with the right attitude to connect with his audience mostly from the streets, Oshmann, Limelite Records second artiste has it with his mixture of Yoruba and English language rap flows. He has a single titled Oro (Word) which is also gaining huge airplay and downloads on radio and social media platforms alike,” Omoregie said.

The CEO of the record label Abiola-Ige also informed the guests that the facilities is also open to independent artistes and organization who want to produce tracks, jingles, movie soundtracks and movie sound scoring.

“We have two fantastic in-house producers – T.K on da Beat and Bayo Beats who can produce a full track for independent artistes, movie soundtrack for films, movie sound scoring and commercial jingles for organizations at a reasonable and competitive price.

It was a celebration of music innovation in the Nigerian entertainment scene.
Celebrities who graced the event were DJ Zeez, Vector, Wale Adebayo, Doris Simeon, Zeb Ejiro, Chico Ejiro, Mercy Aigbe, Taiwo Aromokun among many others.
