Prosper  Ayiku , consultant to Prime Yield Ventures , local representative to Crystal Clear Software Limited, the developer of the Loan Performer Software  has said that the software which has been in the market  for ten years  has established itself  as a trustworthy and reliable micro-finance software that can meet the expectations of users in the  finance business. He said the product is affordable, much secured, user friendly and can give accurate report. He also said that the product allows for local area network (LAN) whereby the manager or a director can be in their various offices but can be working on the server data the same time.
Loan Performer supports micro-finance methodologies: individual lending, village banking as well as solidarity group lending. You can track shares, deposits and loans and it is integrated with a general ledger accounting module, assets module and a debtors/creditors module.
Ayiku said with Loan Performer, you can define up to 100 different savings and 100 different loan products even as he said that group loans can be tracked at group level as well as member level.
The multi-language facility of the software according to Ayiku makes it possible for one user to work with an English interface while another has a French, Spanish or Russian interface, both working with the same database.: Loan Performer can import client’s data, savings transactions, loans transactions and financial transactions from file (TXT, XLS or DBF) making database conversion a lot easier   and can produce loan contract s by linking it to MS Word. You can also analyze your profitability /costs by period, branch, savings or loan product to donor with Loan Performer, according to Ayiku.
At present 22 micro-finance  institutions are using the software which  was rated 2003 in Uganda as ‘the Best for money ‘ by the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP-World Bank). It also won prize for ‘Best software development ‘from Uganda Investment Authority in 2004 among others.
