Medallion Bags NewsDirect ‘Data Center of the Year Award’

Medallion Communications Limited over the weekend bagged Nigerian NewsDirect 2019 ‘Data Center of the-year-Award.

 

The award was presented to the IT firm during the Nigerian NewsDirect 8th Anniversary Award of Excellence held in Lagos with theme, “Indigenous Participation/Economic Recovery & Growth Plans: Roles of Corporate Governance, Banks Credit, Oil &Infrastructure.

 

Speaking after the award presentation, Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani, Chief Executive Officer, Medallion Communication, commended the management and staff of Nigerian NewsDirect Newspapers for its recognition, adding that the award would encourage the management of Medallion Communications to do more in the IT space.

 

According to him, “For us, this award is a call for diligent service so as to create more enabling environment for the Nigerian Telecom and ICT industry.

 

“This is a testament to contributing our quota in creating quality of services to subscribers at affordable prices is well recognized by the industry. This is ultimately our goal.

 

“We want to take connectivity and content to the last mile and the users. This will create employment and ensure that subscribers get value for money they spend on telecom services.”

 

Speaking further, Nnamani stated that their organization’s goal is to expand services to more people across the country.

 

“We believe that the more the content is closer to the end users, the higher the quality and ultimately the cheaper the price to them.

 

“We will be expanding our network coverage to additional six cities this year. Moreso, the country will feel the impact in the area of better prices and quality of services”, he said.

 

With the fast rate of changes and development in the IT Space, Nnamani noted that Medallion expansion would provide the operators the platform to embrace and utilize upgraded network services.

 

“We need to be able to provide the operators with the needed infrastructure to provide their services.

 

”4G and 5G Network is impossible without the operators going to data centers to collocate or interconnect”, Nnamani added.
