Microsoft Mobile Devices Service (MMDS) has granted Jumia Nigeria the exclusive right to retail the Windows OS powered InnJoo Leap tablet on its e-commerce site.

The Microsoft 8.1 enabled tablet, with a free upgrade to the soon to be released Windows 10, has already been touted by most in the tech world as, in their own words, a ‘Jack of all trades, master of all’.

This credit can be attributed to the fact that this Microsoft-Intel enabled device performs all and every function as your regular phone and laptop do.

Some of the interesting features it exhibits include an 8.0 inch multi-touch capacitive screen, 1gig ROM, strong 4000mah battery, captivating 5-megapixel back snapper (no LED flash), 2MP front-facing selfie camera unit, and an Intel Quad Core processor for insanely fast operations and processing.

In addition, the Leap comes with free Office 365 for a period of one year, free Skype credit to the maximum of 60 mins per month and unlimited cloud storage to add to its 16/32GB internal storage.

Extolling the product, Mark Ihimoyan, consumer channels group director at Microsoft Nigeria, said, “A perfect mix of power and portability, Windows small tablets deliver a great experience with an extensive selection of apps, a touch-optimized IE browser, and USB ports to connect to files, cameras and more. Plus you can get a true Windows experience on even the smallest, lightest and most budget-friendly tablets”.

Corroborating, Jonathan Doerr, managing director, Marketing, Jumia Nigeria, said, “The tagline for the Leap, ‘Works like a PC, Plays like a Tablet’ could not have been more spot on. Having worked with one myself the possibilities as to what one can do with it seem endless and we are thrilled to have this device readily available to industrious and social loving Nigerians. It certainly will be a tech lovers favorite”.

Frank Wanjoku, a proud owner of the Leap said, ‘I have told everybody who cared to listen that the Leap is an absolute must have! I bought the keyboard along with it and so every day I work on my Leap just like a computer. Anybody who isn’t doing such is certainly underutilizing it’.
