MobiFEST 2010 to host Sim Registration centers.

The organizers of Nigeria’s first mobile applications exhibition, tagged mobifest 2010 which will be hosted at the muilti purpose Halls of University of Lagos and will run concurrently with a conference at the Ultra modern Afe Babalola Hall at same university on August 17th and 18th has mapped out spaces for Mobile network operators to register the now mandatory SIM cards already issued to millions of subscribers.
Emmanuel Okoegwale, CEO of MobileMoneyAfrica, Africa’s leading resource for mobile financial inclusion, while addressing the media on the forth coming event, He said ‘The event which will be hosted at Nigeria’s most concentrated  youth community, Yaba which host University of Lagos with student population of 35,000, Yaba Polytechnic with population of 22,000, Lasu Yaba campus, 8,000 and other educational institutions like the LUTH and other federal establishments with combined youth population of over 150,000 will be gathered at the event that is focused on them and it is just natural for us to explore the opportunities to serve them and bring innovations to this segment that are always excluded in national planning.
The mobiFEST 2010 Event will also host other hubs like the mobile money hub, innovations, developers and device hubs with participation from leading stakeholders like Nokia, Samsung, MTECH communications, MMIT, Tagattitude,cellullant,  Nuobjects and mobitronics  are already confirmed to exhibit new innovations that are targeted to the youth population.
Some notable speakers that are expected at the event are Akin Naptal, former Blackberry Manager at Vodafone UK, Graham Orodje,former Director at Virgin Mobile UK and other leading subject matter expert in the mobile marketing and value added services in Nigeria and beyond.
