Iruvwe Okeremute, humour merchant and Radio on-air personality, popularly referred to as De Don, who is well reputed for his exhilarating stage acts and one of a kind radio show known as “Comedy Happy Hour with De-Don” has upheld the tradition of offering his teeming fans and admirers more bags of laughter.
De Don is raising the ante of comedy business and general entertainment in Nigeria with the recent launch of “Friday Nite with De Don”. The ace comedian is giving residents of Lagos another opportunity to relax and unwind after the week’s rigour at the famous Motherlan Opebi, Ikeja.
“Friday Nite with De Don” is an evening of rib cracking jokes, pulsating live music performances and dances.
The maiden edition paraded star acts that performed much to the delight of everyone, with DJ Unbeatable setting the tone for the evening.
Comedian Omimi charged the atmosphere with his jokes and thereafter famous classic tunes rented the air as Band De La Ville took guest down memory. Although it rained, guest defied the heavy down-pour as they dance and sing along with the Band.
The host of the night, De Don reveled with rib cracking jokes and promised everyone more excitement in subsequent editions.
DJ Unbeatable drew the curtain with top notch mixes till the early hours of dawn.
The Manager of “Friday Nite with the De Don”, Kunle Onabanjo said “We have gone round the length and breadth of Lagos City, what we realise is that the culture of relaxing and unwinding is fast eroding hence the birth of this event. Therefore, we are urging everyone to take time out of their Friday evenings to listen to good jokes and live performances.”
Comedian De Don added that “I am offering everyone the opportunity to ease off their personal and work related stress just so that we may all enjoy the beautiful gift of life together. However, let me say a very big thank you to Lagbaja and Motherlan management for the support provided.”
Remember, “Friday Nite with the De Don” holds every other Friday of the week at Motherlan Opebi-ikeja. The show is billed to start by 7:00pm prompt and attendance attracts no gate fee.
