MTN Storms Open Markets with PAYG Business Insurance Service

MTN Business, the business-to-business division of MTN Nigeria, is rolling out a series of awareness campaigns in major open markets across Nigeria on MTN Y’ello Biz. MTN Y’ello Biz is the recently launched insurance service, offered in collaboration with Mansard Insurance plc, to protect small businesses against flood, fire and other risks.

The campaigns seek to empower traders and small business owners in general with an affordable and easily accessible insurance cover in a society where business insurance is largely seen as the preserve of big businesses and the rich.

This also bespeaks the vision we have of delivering a bold new digital world to our customers.”

Furthermore, Mr. Yomi Onifade, director of Retail Business, Mansard Insurance,noted that “Mansard is pleased to extend its customer-focused insurance services to SMEs, covering some of the most frequently occurring business hazards.  We are assured that with MTN Y’ello Biz, SMEs too can now enjoy the confidence that comes from being under the Mansard cover.”

MTN Y’ello Biz, which can be bundled with voice, data and SMS services, is from the stable of MTN Y’ello Cover, a suite of insurance services offered by MTN to customers on its network.

For just N300 a week, subscribers of the service enjoy a N1 million Mansard Insurance cover for their businesses and thus experience peace of mind knowing that their goods are protected against sudden and unanticipated losses. To get started, all that new customers need do is to simply text the word BIZ to 770.

Another first from MTN, MTN Y’ello Biz is coming on the heels of MTN Y’ello Life and MTN Y’ello Health, previously launched insurance services that provide affordable life protection and medical covers respectively to subscribers.
