Customer reward is gaining fresh currency at Multi-Links Telkom as its customers are being offered a day long free on net calls after each recharge of N200. This customer loyalty reward scheme allows a subscriber to enjoy free on net calls until 12 midnight on each day of N200 recharge. This promotion is aimed at increasing airtime usage, improved revenue stream while also serving as reward for loyal customers.
Though a customer can do multiple N200 recharges in a single day, however, the qualifying recharge for the free on net calls until midnight will be the first recharge for the day. The free on net calls will be valid until midnight after which a new recharge must be purchased to qualify for another day’s free calls.
Customers on the following plans are excluded and not authorised to participate and benefit from the promo which is expected to last for a period of one month window: COS CUG, COS CALLING CIRCLE, COS BZO, COS STAFF.
Similarly, Multi-Links Telkom’s broadband service is now available in Ijebu Ode, the headquarters of Ijebu Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State. This has been facilitated by the deployment of six BTS sites for EV-DO Network across Ijebu-Ode for extensive coverage of the town.
This development is coming on the heels of recent deployment in the adjoining town of Sagamu (Ogun State) early in the year. Locations effectively covered also include: Tai Solarin University of Education Junction and its environs, Ibadan Road/Ibadan Garage area, Olisa Street and its adjoining neighbourhood, Saw-Mill area, Ikangba Housing Estate and Igbeba Housing Estate.
With an estimated population of 168,315 people in 2009, the city is home to Tai-Solarin University of Education (Formerly, Tai Solarin College of Education); and almost all the Banks have presence across the city. The city is famous for the highly industrious and entrepreneurial skills of her citizens.
Work is also at various stages of completion for EV-DO deployment in the adjoining towns of Ijebu-Igbo and Ago-Iwoye (University towns) located to the north of Ijebu-Ode.
Other locations across the country with EV-DO coverage are: Lagos, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Ile-Ife, Abuja, Ilorin, Jos, Kano, Warri, Asaba and Enugu, while work is in progress for the completion of the EV-DO service in Port Harcourt.
Meanwhile, Multi-Links Telkom is currently running a new promo which is offering every subscriber on its Rocket EV-DO MyTime50 the opportunity to receive free 50 Hours after every third recharge of N3, 400 within a month. This freebie is only valid during the promo period from 14th April -13th May 2010.
This reward scheme aimed at increasing Internet usage by MyTime50 subscribers has also been extended to some other classes of broadband subscribers on the network. The classes of service allowed to migrate to MyTime50 during the promo window are: MyTime15, MyTime10, Mymeg75, Mymeg150, Mymeg250, Mymeg500
By current market statistics, MyTime50 package is the most popular and preferred package and the promo is designed to encourage users to enjoy more time on the world wide web of seamless connection and uncapped download.
Mr. Arif Hussain, chief sales and marketing officer (CSMO), said that the company had recorded tremendous subscriber and revenue growth on this package. According to him, “Facts and figures reveal that this package can do much more in terms of growth and revenue potentials.” He said that the purpose of this promo is to stimulate usage and increase revenue stream from MyTime50 customers by changing the recharge behaviour of these customers.
An appraisal of the profile of MyTime50 showed that customers on this package recharge once in a month, however, it is anticipated that the promo will increase customer’s recharge frequency to 3 times within 30 days. To qualify for the bonus, every MyTime50 subscriber would be required to recharge to the value of N3, 400 three times within a month.
During the first and second recharge, no bonus would be applied. On the third recharge, a bonus MyTime50 would be issued to the subscriber. So instead of 150 hours accrued during the three recharges, the subscriber will enjoy 200 hours.
Classes of service that do not qualify and are not authorised to benefit from the bonus offer are: MyTime250, MyTime500, MyTime1000, MyGig1, MyGig3, BlueAlways24/7, Blue@work 8am-8pm, Blue evening 8pm-8am, and Blue weekend Friday 9pm Monday 8am
