NBC Names Aiyetan as New Spokesperson

Board of National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has approved the appointment of Franca Aiyetan as its new spokesperson.

 

A statement issued by NBC, said, Aiyetan, a thespian by training and passion, has a Bachelors degree in Performing Arts from the University of Ilorin, a Masters degree in Media Arts from the University of Abuja and an Advance Diploma in Marketing from the University of Lagos.

 

Born on February 6 1965, she started her broadcasting career with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) before joining the NBC in 1995.

 

Aiyetan resumed as a Senior Public Affairs Officer on Salary Grade Level 10 and was transferred as an Assistant Chief Public Affairs Officer to Mainstream Monitoring and Enforcement in 2006 for better capacity utilization.

 

She is a member of several professional bodies including Society of Nigerian Theatre Artists, Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, and Nigeria Institute of Management.

 

Aiyetan has also attended different management training, including the Certificate programme in Management Development in the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

She resumed as the New Director, Public Affairs of NBC on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

 

Before her appointment, she was the Zonal Director of the Abuja Zone in the last six years where she raised the stakes of broadcast regulation.

 

Aiyetan is renowned for her penchant for hard work and exceeding expectations.
