Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, chairman, board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has inaugurated the new board of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) in Abuja with Engineer Titi Omo-Ettu as chairman.

Senator Durojaiye charged the new board to roll up their sleeves and work for the resuscitation of the Institute into the deserved relevance as Nigeria begins march from resource economy to digital economy.

Senator Durojaiye tasked the new board to work towards creating numerous Mark Zukerbergs and the likes in Nigeria as soon as possible.

According to him, “Now let me ask, do you think there are no Mark Zukerbergs or Larry Pages or Sergey Brins in this country today? If you do not believe, I believe that there are budding young men and women who could be the next technopreneurs and innovators that can change the destiny of this country! Search for and build these young Nigerians within this country and among those resident in the Diaspora”.

In his acceptance speech, Omo-Ettu assured NCC and industry stakeholders of the burning desire of his team to make a difference within the shortest time possible.

Omo-Ettu is pioneer telecoms stakeholder and chairman of Telecoms Answers Questions Group
