Mr. Lanre Adesuyi, managing director and chief executive officer, Havilah Merchants Nig. Ltd, sole distributor of Bruynzeel Storage Systems, led by Mr. Rob Reijnen, Global Export Manager and Mr. Ivo M. van Duuren, Chief Financial Officer of Bruynzeel Storage Systems, the Netherlands and Mr. Biodun Olaniran to pay a courtesy visit to Mr. Biodun Onayele, Director General, Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau (LASRAB) on Tuesday.

According to Mr. Adesuyi, the meeting was to avail the Bruynzeel team the opportunity to interact with individuals, organizations and corporate bodies who use their products in Nigeria.

Mr. Rob Reijen said his company is one of the biggest manufacturers of storage systems in the world. He said they have presence in 44 countries and that their factory which is fully automated is in the Netherlands. He further said that their visit to Lagos has taken them to First Bank, Chevron and some other Companies and the testimonials of people have been very encouraging such that they are prepared to establish their presence more strongly in the State.

Mr. Biodun Onayele, LASRAB’s DG in his response said LASRAB was established by the State Government to serve as the permanent repository and data bank on the State.

He said that learning from the mistakes of existing records & archives institutions in the country, LASRAB has been positioned to be the new face of archiving in the country and this is evident in the purpose built structure it operates in.

He went on to state that LASRAB was at the verge of procuring Bruynzeel mobile shelving system. He expressed delight at the management of Havilah Merchants Nig. Ltd for their tenacity, advice and confidence in the Bureau.

The team was later taken round the facility. Mr. Rob & Ivo said they were thrilled with what they saw and commended the DG and staff of the Bureau. They thereafter extended an invitation to the DG to visit their office in the Netherlands at any time convenient for him.
