New Horizons Moves into New Office Complex

New Horizons, foremost ICT training centre in Africa has added a feather to its cap expanded its office complex at Babatola Drive to an additional three storey edifice on the same street.

Commissioning the office complex, Adedotun Sulaiman, vice chairman, New Horizons said the training institute is the best in Africa and that it is run in the interest of Nigerian youths to make them more employable.

Tim Akano, the managing director/chief executive officer of New Horizons reiterated that from the beginning they made sure that in training knowledge they provided the best environment conducive to learning and recruited the best of staff. According to him, the institute was training one thousand people on daily basis which he said is the biggest in West Africa as at today. He said that after sometime they realized there was need for expansion as this number has been overstretched since the centre admits a thousand students every day.

The new complex has a modern library which was nonexistent in their former office. The library stocks a lot of modern books which Akano said are not limited to IT books but also include a lot of books on business skills which members of the public can consult at their spare time. There is also internet facility at the centre which students can make use of after the day’s training. The place has also a functional restaurant where the students can unwind. One of the unique things about the centre, Akano said is that each class is dedicated. There is Oracle class, Cisco, and Microsoft class. It also has e-Business class, Information security class. The essence of this is that all the equipment needed for a particular class are always available and do not have to be moved from one place to the other.

Pertaining to IT training, Akano said there is nothing New Horizons cannot handle and that if there is anything the institute does not have the expertise to handle locally, the institute turns globally and can bring people from the US , Asia and other countries to solve the problem.
