Nigeria saves N5.5 Billion on IT Clearance

 Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami FBCS, Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), has disclosed that the Agency in performing its duty as the clearing house for all IT procurement and services in the public sector has so far this year saved the Federal Government of Nigeria about N5.5B through the clearance of MDAs IT projects.

 

Dr Pantami,who was represented by Dr Usman Gambo Abdullahi, Director Information Technology, Infrastructure Solutions  NITDA, made this disclosure recently at the National Information Technology Merit Awards (NITMA) hosted by the Nigeria Computer Society(NCS) in Lagos, Nigeria.

 

NITMA is an annual event that recognises, acknowledge, celebrate and reward corporate organizations and individuals who are outstanding in their various Information Technology (IT) practice and have also contributed immensely to the development of the profession in Nigeria.

 

NITMA is awarded only to companies and individuals with valid licenses to practice Information Technology (IT) in Nigeria, that is, the company must be registered by,Nigeria Computer Society (NCS),Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) and/or Corporate Affairs Commission (for corporate organizations)
