As the December 2014 dateline given by President Goodluck Jonathan to the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to ensure that all Nigerians are enrolled in the National identity scheme draw nearer, the head of the Commission said the issuance of cards would soon begin.
Chris Onyemenam, Director General of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) gave the assurance yesterday at the headquarters of the Commission in Abuja when he received the Director General of NDE who paid him a courtesy call in his office, he said it’s a tall task but with the processes put in place it can be done.
He said, “No doubt, Rome was not built in a day, and so gradually, the National Identity Management Commission shall get to greater heights as it begins card issuance as well as the harmonization and integration process.”
