NITDA Disowns Application for Training on Software Development

National Information Technology Development Agency, (NITDA) has disassociated itself from a form in circulation particularly in Gombe State requesting for personal details of individuals to be filled by the public in order to take part in a training tagged “NITDA Youth Empowerment Training on Software Development (North East) purportedly being organised by the Agency.

According to a disclaimer signed by Mrs Hadiza Umar, head, Corporate Affairs & External Relations Unit at NITDA, the Agency warned the general public to disregard the form.

According to a statement by the Agency: “The attention of the National Information Technology Development Agency, (NITDA) has been drawn to a form in circulation particularly in Gombe State requesting for personal details of individuals to be filled by the public in order to take part in a training tagged “NITDA Youth Empowerment Training on Software Development (North East) purportedly being organised by the Agency.

“The general public is hereby informed that NITDA is not responsible or liable neither to this form nor the training, and therefore, it should be disregarded.

“NITDA will notify the general public through its website, social media handles and other news media channels for any forthcoming trainings or programmes.

“The Agency also wishes to call on the general public to visit the North East Zonal Office, along Ashaka Road, opposite Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, Gombe State for further clarification or contact the Agency through its verified official social media platforms and other means of communication accessible to them.

“Furthermore, the Agency is using this medium to warn individuals behind this act of swindling unsuspecting public of their hard earned resources to desist from this heinous act as the Agency will take legal action against such fraudulent acts”.
