Nokia has showcased three new Nokia phones 5230, X3 and X6, these devices are built on the formula that made Nokia the world leader in mobile phones. The trio brings mobile entertainment to the user through a great experience in gaming, music and content downloads from Ovi Store.
At an interactive media event which held at the Protea Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos, media were treated to an extensive interactive session where they experienced the functionality of the devices.  The media were also invited to open email accounts on OVI mail, Nokia’s free email client, to enable them make free application downloads on Ovi Store.
Ovi Store is an evolving media service that consolidates Nokia’s existing content services into a one-stop-shop for free and paid content. Thousands of the content industry’s biggest names along with independent application developers are distributing their media, applications and games through Ovi Store.
Marcel van de Pas, head of Retail Nokia West Africa said ‘Entertainment keeps our consumers connected through music, games and social networking. These devices give you all this and more. With Ovi Store, there’s never a dull moment as there are a wide range of applications, both local and global content, to download’’.
The Nokia 5230 is a touch designed mobile device for those who lead an active life and use their mobile phone as their primary instrument for music, photos and videos, as well as sharing their experiences online. Consumers can download apps, games, videos and other services from the Ovi Store, directly from their phones. The solutions offering is complemented by Ovi Maps with full maps available for Nigeria, social networks from Facebook to MySpace, and comes in array of dazzling colours.
The X3 and X6 are premium devices that give the consumer the full feel of mobile entertainment at their fingertips. The X3 comes preloaded with games and over 15 tracks of local Nigerian music content, whilst the X6 comes preloaded with games and the Rhianna video – R Rated.

The Nokia 5230, X3 and X6 all come with 12 months warranty and are available in all Nokia authorized retail outlets nationwide.
