Nokia, phone manufacturer in partnership with Airtel Nigeria, telecommunications service provider, have embarked on a special consumer promotion for the new Nokia Lumia range of products now shipping in Nigeria.
The promotion which will kick-off on the 22nd of October 2012 will deliver exciting benefits to consumers who purchase the Lumia 900, 710 & 610 over the period.
Mr.Chris Brown, general manager, Nokia WestAfrica, said that Nokia’s Lumia Windows Phone range are exciting devices offering an amazingly fast way to connect to the internet, keep up to date with Microsoft suite of services, connect to your world with Nokia Maps and City Lens and boasts a unique one-piece polycarbonate design, which has earned it several awards including the CES 2012.
He further explained that the Lumia 900, Nokia’s flagship Windows phone features a large 4.3-inch AMOLED ClearBlack display, 8-megapixel Carl Zeiss Optics camera with HD video capture, front camera, XBox Live gaming, Zune music player, multi-touch screen, and Wi-Fi.
Speaking on the promotion, Mr. Olu Akanmu, Airtel Nigeria’s chief marketing officer, said that Nokia’s partnership with Airtel means that Nigerian consumers can enjoy services,utilize the exciting applications and internet-based capabilities of the devices.
According to him, buyers of the Nokia Lumia 900 and 710 will enjoy a free 6 months internet access, while buyers of Lumia 610 will get a free 3 months internet access courtesy of the network giant.
Consumers can walk into any Airtel or Nokia Partner stores, get a free Airtel Micro-sim and activate the free internet access.
Mr. Ladi Oyatayo, Nokia’s head of Sales Operation urged consumers to hurry into the retail stores and ask for this special package with the Nokia 12 month warranty and Airtel Bundle offer sticker, clearly marked on the box. This, he said was the perfect gift for all Nokia customers, friends and loved ones ahead of the holiday season.
