Ogunlesi, Williams, Akande Others to join McMedal @ Fourth Lagos PR Summit
Lagos State Chapter, the flagship branch of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has announced date for its fourth Lagos Digital PR Summit geared towards deepening the skill-set of communication and media practitioners in new media.
The summit is billed to hold at the Sheraton Lagos Hotel, from Wednesday 16th – Thursday 17th, October 2019.
Olusegun McMedal, chairman, Lagos State Chapter, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), in a statement released on Monday, disclosed the date and names of members of the faculty for the fourth Lagos Digital PR Summit.
According to him, “Opportunities in the new media require new skillsets to run successful digital communications campaigns.
“It is important that communications practitioners are better equipped to operate in the rapidly growing algorithmic media ecosystem”.
This edition, themed: Upping your Versatility in Digital Communications, is in partnership with multinational technology companies specializing in Internet-related, social media and social networking services and products including leading digital communications consultancies in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Lagos Digital PR Summit is a two-day experiential gathering of communicators focused on achieving collective intelligence to equip and capacitate communicators in corporate and public affairs with high-level digital public relations strategies, tactics and how-to’s so they can do their jobs better and lift their social media campaign results.
The Summit is open to Generation X and Millennial managing communications for government, corporate, media and non-governmental organizations to equip and expose them to contemporary techniques and glean new insights into the fast-growing digital media space for modern-day strategic communication practice.
The Summit will feature a formal opening ceremony closely followed by lectures, discussions, simulation exercises, case study analyses and breakout sessions to equip participants with the know-how to drive positive impact in their organizations.
Participants will earn a Certificate of Participation and the honorary Lagos Digital PR Ambassadorship.
