Mrs Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, managing director/CEO designate, Fidelity Bank, has boosted her holdings in the bank with a purchase of 5 million shares at N2.56 per share which amounted to N12.8 million.

This is coming just a day (December 1, 2020) left for the closure of the trading window for dealings on the Fidelity Bank’s shares to all insiders.

The purchase was done on November 30, according to a filing done by the bank at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday.

The bank only recently notified investors, the general public, and stakeholders of the commencement of its 2020 Annual Financial Statement audit.

This was announced through a notification signed by Ezinwa Unuigboje, bank’s secretary, and sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Recall that Fidelity Bank Plc, had announced that Mrs. Onyeali-Ikpe, would become the MD/CEO effective January 1, 2021.

Mrs. Onyeali-Ikpe will succeed Nnamdi Okonkwo upon completion of his tenure on December 31, 2020.

Onyeali-Ikpe was appointed to the Board of Fidelity Bank in 2015 as Executive Director and currently oversees the Lagos and South West Directorate, adding that she had led the transformation of the directorate to profitability and sustained its year-on-year growth across key performance metrics.

Onyeali-Ikpe has over 30 years experience from Standard Chartered Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc and Citizens International Bank Limited, where she held several management positions in Legal, Treasury, Investment Banking, Retail/Commercial Banking and Corporate Banking.
