OurTV, New Satellite TV Service Launches in Nigeria with Free Subscription
OurTV, a new Nigerian digital satellite TV service has launched and the promoters said service would not require monthly subscriptions.
OurTV, a division of Trefoil Networks Limited, also promised to offer home-grown content and world class customer service..
Onochie Amasiani, managing director of Trefoil, explained that OurTV would not require monthly subscriptions, as customers would only make a one-time payment for decoders.
Also at the launch in Abuja, Adamu Idris, general manager, Corporate Affairs Directorate, Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NigComSat), said his agency has inked a deal to enable OurTV, transmit via NigComSat-1R, a satellite of NigComSat.
Idris urged other potential clients to take advantage of the resources in NigComSat-1R satellite to achieve their ICT related goals and objectives.
Idris, who represented the organisation’s managing director, said NigComSat is ready to partner with digital satellite television providers who wish to transmit with its facilities.
He explained that NIGCOMSAT had available capacity on C-band, Ku-band and Ka-band for transponder lease, capacity on demand, satellite broadband, Direct to Home services and others.
