Agboola Toheeb, chief technical officer, Information Technology Resources and Development Network (ITRDN) has said that Small and Medium Enterprises’ (SMEs) shy away from engaging IT professionals to grow their businesses because of overhead cost.

Speaking to Nigeria Communicationsweek in Lagos, the IT consultant said  “Well, we know how businesses are run today. Overhead cost is the major challenge to SMEs. Another strangulating problem they face is the unavailability of skilled employees to man the systems.

“You need about N70,000 on a monthly basis to have an IT professional on your team. Not just that, you will find out that the business might not be able to optimize his skills, because he may not have everyday duty to perform”.

Toheeb  said that ITRDN, a dynamic and resourceful technology service company through the subsidiary, PC Connect, has resolved to provide dependable and innovative IT solutions for small businesses and large corporations who count on technology to deliver great service to their customers.

“PC Connect stands-by to assist companies that cannot afford to feature an IT department. And that it is the premium IT support platform. And with everything revolving around IT, there is no kind of business you do today without IT presence,” he said.
