Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, minister of Communications and Digital Economy has called for an accelerated development that will drive a Digital Economy for a Digital Nigeria, noting that our educational sector needs to focus more on skills development and not just theoretical knowledge.
Pantami made this assertion on Tuesday when he received the top Management of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) who paid a working visit to the Ministry’s Corporate Headquarters, Abuja.
According to him, For an accelerated development that will drive a Digital Economy for a Digital Nigeria, our educational sector needs to focus more on skills development and not just theoretical knowledge.
The ICRC team was led by its Director-General, Engr Chidi Izuwah and were at the Ministry to key into the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy for a Digital Nigeria.
Dr Pantami also reminded the gathering that according to the recent report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) the ICT sector is among the fastest-growing sector in Nigeria.
