In an auspicious development that affirms Phase3 Telecom remarkable 12 play in the telecom infrastructure and broadband service space; Mr Stanley Jegede, the firm’s versatile chief executive officer, has been conferred the award of 2016 “Africa Telecom Entrepreneur of the Year” at a grand ceremony organized by Africa Information Technology and Telecom Awards (AITTA) in Ghana’s Gold Coast City – Accra.
This top honour comes in the wake of Phase3’s recent win as Best Fibre Optic Company of the year at the recently concluded Nigeria CommunicationsWeek “Beacon of ICT Awards” 2016.
In an acceptance speech delivered by Akeem Adeshina, company’s general manager, Sales & Marketing,; Jegede who is currently on Phase3 project tour states that the unexpected but humbling recognition by a laudable organization as AITTA; is an attestation of the outstanding commitment of the team of young women and men, he is opportune to work with daily to deliver the Phase3 mission and consistent mandate to provide excellent services to connect people and businesses for the socio-economic development of Africa.
Speaking with newsmen in a phone interview, he said “the continous painstaking effort and hardwork put into expanding West Africa’s largest and indigenous telecom infrastructure network to enhance the Sub-Region’s options for route diversity, local/international redundancy and to remove heavy reliance on traditional connectivity; is made all the more worthwhile by this AITTA acknowledgement and could not have come at a greater time not just for himself but the entire Phase3 family”.
He reaffirms that the focus as always been to proffer solutions on connectivity and access that open limitless opportunities for African businesses to thrive as their global counterparts. And as the demand for connectivity and network services continues to rise; Phase3 will not relent on its commitment to maintaining a secure, reliable and scalable infrastructure that provide affordable and flexible opportunities for businesses to grow and thrive regardless of location.
Thanking God, he concludes that the award must also be shared with partners, family, stakeholders and well-wishers who continue to maintain their faith in Phase3 as well as spur the entire team on to do the continent prouder especially in the area of ensuring optimal performance of the Phase3 network through innovative telecoms technology.
