Phase3 Telecom Deploys IP Service in Abuja

Telecommunications backbone infrastructure provider, Phase 3 Telecom has deployed Internet Protocol service in Abuja in other to beat transmission challenges and provide quality of service within and outside its environs.
Stephen O. Dada, head, International Carrier Service Officer, phase 3 telecom, said that the company has been running the service already in Lagos but due to transmission challenges they could not have access to the federal capital territory. According to him, the purpose of coming down to Abuja is to meet the target objective of getting more customers connected, increase bandwidth usage, and bringing down cost of the service.
He said that, banks, private and public establishment, multinational companies, institutions, corporate organizations, and hospitals in Abuja can now leaverage on the IP service for e-business, e-learning, e-services, e-health and e-government.
Dada explained that, apart from cable and wireless services the company offers, it also provides VoIP Service for broadcasting, telecast and internet services.
He assured that Phase 3 will continue to be the backbone to service providers in every part where their network coverage is available.
According to him, “the main goals of the company is to make sure that IP capacity is brought to the reach of every one in Nigeria and the sub-region. Abuja is one of the focal areas now and we would soon extend to Kaduna, Kano and the far North. And the services we render is the same and affordable through our dedicated and full duplex IP bandwidth.”
Dada further explained that phase 3 bandwidth capacity is from two angles, one from Sat- 3 connectivity that comes into Nigeria and the other from Benin Republic both provide equal services in case one developed fault the other will compliment and serve as redundancy road on the power line, he said phase 3 will continue to partner with cable operators in other to give customers the best satisfaction they need.
