Phase3 Telecom, West Africa’s independent fibre optic infrastructure, has been recognized by quality and management awards for its network contributions to the telecom industry.
This at an event held in the nation's capital to commemorate World Quality Day on November 9.
The indigenous company which recently marked its 15th Anniversary was one of several corporate entities to be acknowledged for laudable operations in their various sectors. With Phase3 receiving its win in the telecommunications infrastructure and broadband services categories.
In his comments, Mr. Stanley Jegede, Phase3’s chief executive officer, said the recognition is just as humbling as it is an attestation to Phase's commitment to proffering cost effective and innovative connectivity solutions that can aid quicker realization of overall broadband penetration goals.
Adding that not without its challenges, 2018 continues to be a year of inspiring successes for the company that fuels its vision to deliver the most reliable backbone infrastructure that offer broadband solutions with creative and real time customer support.
Stressing that the brand's vision speaks for its growing portfolio of global partnerships with entities such as PCCW on solutions targeted at transforming the sub-region’s telecommunications landscape using innovative technology as leverage to effectively connect people and businesses that operate in the region with each other, and the rest of the world.
That this award also validates one of Phase3's many contributions to the telecoms industry via its renewed focus to maximize opportunities in emerging markets through its subsidiary - Coverage Broadband which in a strategic partnership with Airtel Nigeria recently announced launch of 3flix mobile TV service - an app designed to offer subscribers across the country, a distinctive viewing service which requires minimal data consumption on their smart phones at only N20 per day.
Jegede concluded by saying that this recognition also serves as a reminder to Phase3 to keep riding on its values of reliability, creativity and excellence for its ongoing and future endeavours.
