Priority Communications Limited has been honored with the ‘IT Service Provider of the Year’ award at Beacon of ICT awards, the most prestigious annual event available in the ICT industry in Nigeria.
The Beacon of ICT distinguished lecture/awards was designed to explore effort to put Nigeria on the global information and communications technology map.
According to the Mr. Ken Nwogbo, Editor-in-Chief and chief executive officer of Communications Week Media Limited, publishers of Nigeria CommunicationsWeek newspaper, Priority Communications Limited was recognized for its leading role in telecommunications and data communications services to private, public and corporate organizations in Nigeria and sub Sahara African countries.
The Beacon of ICT awards which was instituted in 2008 is a merit – centric award celebration aimed at rewarding best practices and recognizing outstanding contributions to the growth of ICT in Nigeria.
Speaking with Mr. Samuel Olumide, chief executive officer of Priority Communications Limited expressed his joy for having been honoured with such prestigious award.
Olumide stated that “Priority Communications has in the past eight years has worked hard to provide the best data communication services to its clients within and outside Nigeria”.
He added that this well deserved award will work as a catalyst to bringing about improved services to their clients.
Furthermore, Olumide added that, “I am greatly humbled and honored to be receiving this award. I would like to offer my sincerest gratitude to the Beacon of ICT awards for recognizing and honoring Priority Communications with this award and also to our wonderful customers who have kept us in the business for the past eight years.
The award night which had the popular actor, Charles Okafor as its Master of Ceremony, was held at the prestigious Eko Hotel during the weekend and it had people of high ranking in attendance.
Other organizations such as Sidmach Technologies, PTL Courier Limited, Glo, Jumia , Lumidi, Carmudi, Vodacom and many others also received awards during the event.
