Priority Communications Targets Datacenter Infrastructure, Rewards Staff

Priority Communications Limited, at the weekend, disclosed it plans to build a robust data center in the country, by year 2015.

The company which has been in existence close to a decade, said that it has set standards in building of resilient towers, VSAT, Local Area Networking (LAN), Fiber, PTP/PTMP radio Links that stands the test of time.

Speaking at a dinner and award night, to celebrate the clients and the staff, Olumide Samuel, chief executive officer of the Company, said that, they also intend spending millions of naira on infrastructural upgrade to serve the clients better.

Olumide said Priority Communications has been able to put a lasting brand in the heart of client through quality service delivery and fulfilling clients’ desires.

He described the Company as a major player in the Nigeria telecommunication industry. “Over the years, we have done our job silently, but I can tell you that our clients are scattered around the country. We are one of the trusted companies in the area of data communication. We work for banks, insurance companies, courier outfits, among others; and they appreciate our services. We have enough to offer too”.

To maintain its towering step in the industry, Olumide said, “When you are in an IT driven environment, to us, innovation is the key. In the coming year, we are bringing- in new products and services. Currently, we are doing a lot of thing in the fiber deployment; deploying technologies that boost services in the industry.

Recently, Priority Communications acquired an equipment to render M2M services too. The CEO, said that it is part of the tools they will explore in the coming year. “Hopefully, by next year, we will build a data centre that will provide interesting services to our customers. We are laying fiber optic cables through which we will render services to our customers in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and other cities.

Presently, Priority Communications has about 400 staff, having started with five (5) about eight years ago and now operates in Nigeria, Accra (Ghana), Kenya and Zambia.

Speaking on the award, Bimbo Samuel, managing director of the Company said, “We simply want to appreciate our customers, for the supports they have been giving us. Also, we want to recognize our staff, we believe that our personnel we cannot serve the clients. When the customers appreciate your services, it means the staff are doing very wonderful. We want them to feel very important.

‎Highpoint of the occasion was the giving of awards to deserving staff, with ‎Adetutu Adebayo, head of human Resources, winning the much coveted award of the company for his penchant attitude in lifting the company’s activities.
